There are many ways to stay safe in todays virtual world. Below i've put togeather a guide containing key steps to ensure you don't reveal your identity when seeding online. Why would you want to stay anonymous? There are many reasons (most of them legit) but the key one being you have a RIGHT to remain anonymous. By revealing personal informmation you can become the target of Spam, scammers, and misguided (and usually ill-informed) law enforcement. This is not a guide to help you learn how to pirate software using torrents - however should you choose to use it for that effect, we take no responsibility for your actions.

Step 1: Hiding your IP

There are two way to hide your IP. The first is the "old fashioned" way using proxies. This essentially tells a connection to bounce off of another computer assigned as a proxy server. A simple google search will show you lots of different kinds of proxie services. We hope to have a reccomenation list for you at some point.

The second way to hide your IP is through a VPN. A VPN works kinda as a global proxy - ALL your traffic gets bounced off of another machine. It accomplishes this by routing your information through the ports normally assigned for regular web traffic and than tunneling the information back and forth from there.

Regardless of which way you chose to go ALWAYS use one when connecting to ANYTHING you wish to keep private. Even when connecting to Gmail. By ensuring your always anonymous it makes it much more difficult to determine who is doing what.
